PHOENIX - The rise of shootings at educational environment make Arizona lawmakers moved to allow the carrying of weapons on campus.
Arizona legislature on Thursday proposed legislation (Act) which permits allowed to bring firearms to campus.
"We allow people to defend themselves," said Republican board member David Cowan Sr.
"The purpose of carrying such weapons only to defend themselves when pressed," he said as reported by Reuters on Friday (08/04/2011).
Act now only awaiting approval from the Governor in January Brewer. January itself has not said that he would sign the law.
If later approved, Arizona will join Utah as a territory which permits freely allowed to bring weapons on campus.
