LONDON - Tottenham Hotspur do not have a great chance to qualify for the Champions League semi-final. But optimistic Spurs midfielder Luka Modric had a good future in European competition.
0-4 defeat of Real Madrid in the middle of the first leg quarterfinals last week, hoping a miracle to make the Spurs like to waltz into round four.
But, no matter what the outcome will be achieved at White Hart Lane on Thursday (4/14/2011) early days, Modric believes Tottenham will be incarnated as a new force in the Blue Continent.
"This season we are against big teams like Milan and Inter, we demonstrate the quality of teams in the match," said Modric, Spurs successfully recalled how much trouble these two team shirts.
"Everybody must respect us and give credit for what has been done in the Champions League first. We showed this team has quality and a great team, "Modric said.
"It's hard to say we were one of five or six best teams in Europe, but we come and have a good future. We can be one of the best teams if kept together, "he explained, as reported by Goal, on Wednesday (13/04/2011).
"All players have a lot of time in their contracts and we think positively," close the Croatian international players.
