Mubarak was jailed for 15 days

CAIRO - Former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak ordered to undergo detention for 15 days, starting today. This step is certainly to develop a sense of trust to the government while currently held by the military.

Previously, the Public Prosecutor (Prosecutor) Egypt make the process of investigation against Mubarak on Sunday April 10. Mubarak questioned on suspicion of involvement on charges of corruption and the deaths of citizens who follow anti-government protests a few months ago.

Two sons namely, Alaa and Gamal were also questioned over corruption cases. Detention order was issued to two men.

"Former President Hosni Mubarak is currently being held for 15 days for an investigation," the Egyptian national television reports in the news in short, as quoted by Reuters on Wednesday (13/04/2011).

Mubarak will likely continue to undergo imprisonment in Sharm el-Sheikh, but this is denied by his son Gamal.

"This is a serious step to end the suspicion that the military-led country today, do not protect Mubarak," said Hassan Nafaa Egypt reform activists. "Most people are suspicious of the military," he continued.

Military Council of Egypt, who led Egypt after Mubarak's retreat last February 11, continues to Mubarak urged citizens to resist. Earlier on Friday, April 8, hundreds of thousands of Egyptians criticized the military who are considered not able to prosecute Mubarak.
