SAN FERNANDO - The number of victims buried in mass in Mexico has grown to 88 people, after yesterday recovered 16 victims of homicide.
The investigators discovered a mass grave in San Fernando, not far from the border of the United States (U.S.).
The victims of these killings apparently were victims of perpetrators who have been caught Saturday.
Police said the perpetrator has admitted to kidnapping and murder of dozens of people who travel to the region by bus.
On Thursday, police had found 59 bodies in eight mass graves in San Fernando. The next day, officers found 13 bodies in the back two mass graves in the same location.
Authorities say they have arrested 16 suspects linked to the killings, but the motive for the killing remains unclear.
San Fernando is located in the state of Tamaulipas, is the center of bloody warfare between groups of drug dealers who control the smuggling of drugs into U.S. territory.
