CAIRO - Egypt summoned the jury panel of former President Hosni Mubarak's son, Gamal, for questioning related to the investigation of corruption cases that made the former Egyptian leader.
Excerpted from the government newspaper Al-Ahram, Gamal Mubarak will attend before the court next week. Meanwhile, the chief of staff for former President Mubarak will be asked for information on Friday, April 8.
In the paper said, the judging panel, formed to investigate the illicit income, Gamal will request information about complaints that he illegally inflating property. Thus was launched AFP on Wednesday (06/04/2011).
Gamal, Mubarak's youngest son, holding senior positions in the ruling party in Egypt and is believed to have ambitions to become president, but Gamal denies it.
Widespread belief that his father would appoint as his successor Gamal increased his opposition to former President Mubarak, who was forced down in February after 18 days of demonstrations.
