Ecuador kick U.S. ambassador

Quito - Ecuador announced that it has been ejecting the Ambassador of the United States (U.S.) in Quito, Heather Hodges, after the leaking of information on corruption in the Police of Ecuador.

Foreign Minister Ricardo Patino said he has asked Heather Hodges to leave the country as soon as possible.

Ecuador's leaking of confidential documents are released in situ Wikileaks. Hodges Patino himself asked how could he get the information very secret.

His decision to kick U.S. ambassador did after Hodges could not give a satisfactory explanation regarding the involvement of the secret leaking to Wikileaks.

Hodges said the action was not intended to Negari Uncle Sam, but only to the individual. Reports the BBC on Wednesday (04/06/2011).

The information leaked by Hodges stated that, Ecuadorean President Rafael Correa aware of any allegations of corruption made by the General Police Aquilino Jaime Hurtado Vaca, when he served as commander of the police state.

Patino said the accusations against President Correa is irresponsible and wrong.

Gen Hurtado Vaca served as commander of the Ecuadorian police only within one year. She resigned in June 2009.
Vaca himself denied the allegations.
